Bookbinding

I just spent two entire evenings binding my own journal. Why, in heaven’s name, why??? Well.. I’ve had trouble finding a watercolor journal that I like. This way I get to choose the paper, size and orientation. I’ll use it to draw and paint in after I finish my current one. It’s full of lucious, cream colored 300 g Fabriano Artistico smooth watercolor paper. For variation, I’ve thrown in a few sheets of colored paper and white drawing paper. Here are the instructions I used: http://www.cat-sidh.net/Tutorials/Binding.html . I’m not sure they’re 100% waterproof, but it’s a start.

The ragged edges on the left at the edges of the watercolor paper. I decided to keep them and I think it looks sort of nice.

Double baptization

On sunday the twins were baptized. Churches make me go all mushy. It was H’s first time in a church, except baby singing in Øvre Rælingen Kirke. The service went ON and ON.. for almost 1.5 hours! Needless to say, we weren’t the most attentive people in the congregation.

R is godfather to E and was wearing a pink tie, real nice touch! Godfather, hehe 🙂
