Why is it that the unhappiest people live in the richest countries? I find myself thinking ‘This life isn’t natural, sitting in an office all day, getting food from a store. I’d be much happier as a cave woman’. I guess it’s like thinking the grass is greener on the other side. People don’t starve so much any more but there are other challenges, like finding a purpose in our lives. I think when you need to work hard to find food every day, worrying about the meaning of life doesn’t come naturally.

  1. That’s an interesting perspective Eva. Do you think we have thoughts like those because we’re all trying to find (hold on to your chair) “the meaning of life”? I mean, people have been asking these questions for ages and it might just be because we sense there is something better out there. I think being a cave woman isn’t all bad, but only as long as our friends come visit from time to time.

  2. I’d agree with the cave woman thing if it weren’t for the likelyhood that some moron would come along and bonk you on the head with a club… I never did like having my hair pulled.
